Afraid to lose, to slip away, To watch love slowly drift astray. A heart once open, now unsure, Can longing fade, or still endure? The fear that whispers in the night, Is love a flame or fading light?

To lose to love, to fall so deep, Where promises no longer keep. A silent war of hope and doubt, Of wanting in and pulling out. The risk of giving all I am, For just one touch, one gentle hand.

I’ve lost the power, lost control, The reins once tight now feel so cold. But in that loss, I found a spark, A strength that rises from the dark. To stand again, to face the storm, To find new courage in new form.

I’ve gained the strength to not give in, To hold my ground, to breathe within. Though love may tempt with eyes so wide, I won’t be swept by every tide. I’ll meet your gaze, but not collapse, I’ll hold my truth within my grasp.

The look you give, it cuts so deep, It wakes the soul I tried to keep. A silent question in your stare, Do I still love, do I still care? Your eyes, they ask what words won’t say, If I will choose to stay or stray.

So tell me now, don’t turn away, Speak what your silence cannot weigh. I need to know, I need to feel, If what we have is true and real. Don’t leave me hanging on the line, Say if your heart still longs for mine.

Can I still love you, tell me true? Is there a place for me in you? Or am I chasing shadows past, A dream too fragile not to last? I ask, I wait, I hope, I stand with open heart and trembling hand.
